Goldendoodles love to explore and romp around, regardless of the weather!

But when the temperatures start to dip and the snow starts to come down,it's important to make sure that their little paws are kept warm and protected against frostbite.

Boots are also great if the pavement is a bit too hot in the summertime, as they can help protect against burning their little feet.

How can you find the best dog boots for a Goldendoodle?

Well, I have tested most of them with Bailey (my goldendoodle) and although he wasn't a big fan of wearing them at first, with some treats and patience he got used to it.

These are the boots that I found worked best for Bailey!

Unfortunately, there isn't a big knowledge base for what types of boots are best for goldendoodles. So, before I came to my conclusions, I did a lot of research and read through dozens of reviews on Amazon, Chewy, and Petco.

I looked for reviewers that had similar breeds, sizes, and builds as Bailey and read through their comments. From there I could get some ideas on what types of dog booties worked for different-sized dogs.

After that, I tried out 11 different types of boots on Bailey to see which he was most comfortable in. After a lot of trial and error, we came up with this list of the best dog boots for goldendoodles.

1.Best For Injured Paws: Healers Medical Dog Boots and Gauze Bandages

Healers Medical Dog Boots and Gauze Bandages

Lightweight and easy to put on

May not be durable for long term use

Secure fit

Non-skid sole

The Healers Medical Dog Boots are secure, lightweight and easy to put on, but also provide enough room for a bandage.

Although Bailey's paws weren't injured at the time of testing, I still wanted to try them out. I found they were comfortable enough for Bailey and he didn't fidget even when I put a bandage on his paw!

They have a non-skid sole, which makes it difficult for your pup to slip or lose his footing while walking around the house.

The material is surprisingly durable considering its lightweight design – however, after just a few days of wear, one reviewer found that the anti-skid material was peeling off around the toes, where it gets the most wear.

The Healers Medical Dog Boots are great for short-term use to protect your dog’s paws from an open wound or bandage.

However, if you’re in need of a long-term solution for protecting your dog's paws, you may want to look into a more durable option.

All in all, the Healers Medical Dog Boots are an ideal choice for protecting injured paws and aiding in the healing process – just keep in mind that they’re not meant for long-term wear!

2. Best for Snow: YAODHAOD Dog Shoes for Winter

Keeps paws warm and comfy

Water-resistant but not waterproof

Non slip sole

Easy to Assemble

The YAODHAOD Dog Shoes for Winter are specially designed to keep your goldendoodle's paws warm and comfy all winter long.

We tested this out with Bailey over the weekend and it worked wonderfully. It is not your usual hard sole boot, it's soft and he loved it.

However, Some reviewers have commented and the company also says that these boots don't have any waterproofing, so if you're walking in wet snow or rain, your pup will still get some moisture on their feet.

These stylish shoes feature a non-slip sole to provide stability and grip on slippery surfaces, plus an ultra-soft fleece lining that provides extra comfort and keeps their paws cozy.

The adjustable straps also ensure a tight fit and reflective detailing allows for safe night walks. They are water-resistant but not waterproof, so they're ideal for keeping your pup's paws clean and protected from the elements during indoor activities and sunny day walks.

And don't worry about leaving these boots outside - they come with a handy drawstring bag so you can keep them nice and dry when not in use.

3. Best Waterproof: QUMY Dog Boots Waterproof

Takes a Few Days to Get Used To

Reflective Straps

The QUMY Dog Boots are waterproof, sturdy and one of the best fitting dog boots on the market. And they are really waterproof, not like other brands that advertise as waterproof but actually, they are not.

With the QUMY Dog Boots, you don't have to worry about your pup's feet getting wet in any kind of weather.

We tested it out with Bailey on a two-mile hike through a muddy terrain and her feet were kept dry and clean the entire way. The rugged sole held up against rocks, sticks, and other sharp objects.

And we loved how easy they are to put on with adjustable straps that make finding the right fit a breeze.

Plus it has reflective velcro straps to keep your pup safe and visible in the dark.

It takes a few days for your pup to get used to walking with the boots on, but they are so worth it.

The QUMY Dog Boots have been a lifesaver for our goldendoodle, Bailey and we highly recommend them for other dog owners looking for quality boots that keep their fur baby's feet dry and safe from the elements.

4. Best Durable: Kurgo Dog Shoes

Great for all weather conditions

Sizing not the most accurate

Adjustable ankle cordlocks

The Kurgo Dog Shoes are a great all -around choice for Goldendoodles. They provide much-needed protection from cold, hot and wet weather and are (very) durable enough to survive the wear and tear of everyday life.

We tried this out with Bailey on a hot summer day and they held up great! The soles were thick, and he was able to walk through all kinds of terrain without his feet burning or slipping.

The material is breathable and water-resistant, making them perfect for all kinds of terrain.

The adjustable ankle cordlocks make them easy to adjust for your pup’s comfort.

These boots also feature a reflective weld that provides 360 degrees of reflectivity, making them safer for nighttime adventures. The battery-powered lights let you easily keep track of your pup’s direction.

They fitted Bailey perfectly.

5. Best For Hot Pavement: HCPET Dog Boots

Hcpet Dog Boots Breathable Dog Shoes for Small Medium Large Dogs

Durability issues reported by some users

Good protection from Sharp Rocks and Pebbles

If you are looking for a dog shoe for your goldendoodle that protects it's paws from the hot summer pavement, the Hcpet Dog Boots are a good choice.

They are made of a breathable mesh fabric that is comfortable for your pup and protects their sensitive paws from the hot pavement.

They also provide good protection from sharp rocks and pebbles.

The double velcro straps make sure they stay securely on, so no matter how much your goldendoodle runs around, you don't have to worry about them falling off.

In addition, these lightweight shoes are easy to slip on and off with minimal effort. They come in five sizes for a perfect fit, and there is even a helpful sizing guide included that makes choosing the right size easy.

The fabric feels very durable, although there are a few reviews that mention the shoes ripping after a few weeks. I don't know how this could happen, during our testing with Bailey, the shoes held up well and had no issues.

Overall, these boots are a good choice for your goldendoodle, offering great protection and comfort when out on the town.

Is Salt Bad for Your Goldendoodles Paws?

It's no secret that salt can take a toll on your goldendoodle’s paws during the winter months. Whether it’s from walking across icy sidewalks or stepping in a pile of snow, your pup’s feet may become irritated and uncomfortable if exposed to too much salt.

The best way to protect your pup’s paws is to invest in a good pair of dog boots. Dog boots provide an extra layer of protection from salt and other elements while still allowing your pup to walk comfortably.

Look for waterproof, non-slip sole that has enough grip to help them navigate slippery terrain. Make sure the boot has adjustable straps so they can fit your goldendoodle’s paws nicely.

Also, it's important to clean your pup's feet after every walk to remove any salt that may have been left behind. This helps prevent further irritation and discomfort. Use paw cream or paw wax to sooth your pup’s paws and keep them moisturized.
